Endoscopic nasal surgery also has extended applications beyond the nasal cavity and sinuses such as to relieve excess watering from the eyes (Endoscopic DCR), CSF leakage through the nose (Endoscopic CSF Rhinorrhoea repair). Sometimes trauma to the orbit can also be dealt with endoscopically with an orbital/optic nerve decompression.
Cosmetic nose surgery aims to correct the external deformities of the nose such as crooked nose, humps, broad base, saddle nose (depressed).
